I’ve been sitting on this draft for over a month, but I haven’t been willing to hit “publish.” Why?

Though you don’t get work off for Mother’s Day, it is still a holiday. Especially for your mom. Even if she knows that you love her every other day of the year. It’s one of those weird things about life: you can give gifts all through the year, but if you don’t give a birthday gift, you’re seen as forgetful or *gulp* uncaring.

I’d be able to wake up early to work on what I wanted, have time to do yoga, make a bomb breakfast, and journal or meditate. All while money just kept climbing into my bank account.

In the spirit of using my free time a little more productively, I decided to make a list of things I could do when I had some free time to relax. Do you do any of these?
Read MoreI’ve been working as a social media marketer for a while now, and I’ve always had great growth and engagement for my clients. Even when Facebook became more of a pay-to-play platform, I got great organic results when some of my peers were struggling to explain poor performance to their clients when I was agency-based. I think most of the time I was getting great results wasn’t because I got lucky with great clients. It was because I was paying attention to who I was writing for, and I dialed in to an authentic voice.

So, here are my tips for how to find the right crystal.
Read MoreI spun my wheels for a while, but finally got to the point where I took myself seriously. For many of us, it’s easier to work hard for someone else, but not so easy to work hard for ourselves. I’m so glad I figured out that I was worth the investment. Though it took me a while, I’m here. And I’m ready to hit the ground running. So, here are my business goals for the remainder of 2019:
Read MoreIf you’re just starting a business, you could be winging it or researching your heart out. At the beginning, it seems a million decisions have to be made before you can start making money. If you’re still stuck toward the beginning in brand-identification mode, here are two things that may help you get back to making moves, at least when it comes to writing.

And if you’re obsessed with learning about skin, you can let that obsession destroy your self esteem. Stress can lead to acne, which can lead you to stress out more.
Read MoreI’ve tried a few apps to help with meditation, and I’ve tried meditating on my own. Just with me. And, honestly, I’m not sure they’re even comparable. It’s like comparing doing yoga in your room with a YouTube video to going to a class with a teacher who walks around the room and corrects your alignment.
